Our team is looking forward to Sunday afternoon's match against Kisvárda with a perfect home record.
In the 8th round of the OTP Bank Liga our team will play against Kisvárda Master Good on Sunday at 15:00 in the Sóstói Stadium. To get you in the mood for the match, we have collected five interesting facts.
1. Overall record
Our team is preparing for its 16th top-flight match against Kisvárda, with Vidi having a superior advantage in the history of the two teams since 2018. In the league so far, our team has won nine times, while three times there have been draws, and three times the team from the east of the country have won. The aggregate goal difference in the match is 32:15 in our favour, which means a goals-per-match average of 3.1.
2. Flawless record at the Sóstói: 8/8
We have a perfect home record against Kisvárda, winning all eight meetings, the first one in July 2018 and the last one last November. Our home record against the reds reads 4-0, 2-1, 3-0, 2-0, 3-0, 2-1, 5-3, 4-1.
3. The match with the most goals: 5-3
The highest-scoring game resulted in eight goals, was an April 2022 match, which is also remembered for a big comeback. The away side were 3-0 up in the 12th minute, but we quickly responded, with goals from Nikolic and Funsho in the 18th minute to make it 2-3, before goals from Zulj, Kodro and Nikolic in the second half gave Michael Boris a confident 5-3 win at the Sósto.
4. Biggest ever win: 4-0
The biggest victory against Kisvárda was on 21st July 2018, at the Pancho Arena in Felcsút, when Danko Lazovics, Roland Juhász, Marko Scsepovics and Stefan Scsepovics scored goals to give Vidi a 4-0 win with manager Marko Nikolics in charge. On the 31st August we beat Sunday's opponents 3-0 at the Sósto, with Visar Musliu, Georgi Milanov and Armin Hodzic scoring, and on the 18th December 2020 we won 3-0, with Bamgboye Funsho scoring a double and Ivan Petrjak adding a goal.
5. The date: 1st October.
The last time our team played on the first day of October 2010 in a NB I championship match, we won 2-1 at Lombard Papa. In 2005, we also beat ZTE FC 1-0 in the Sósto, and in the last millennium we have played four top-flight matches on Sunday's matchday, with two wins and two defeats.
