Bartosz Grzelak and János Mátyus spoke to the media after the match.
Bartosz Grzelak:
"We started the game well, I thought we played good until their goal. Kisvárda's goal was a bit of a surprise, we were too open at the back. They had three strikers at the start of the game with our three defenders, we didn't always pick them up well, we had to adjust a bit but we adapted well for the rest of the game. With all due respect to Kisvárda, but maybe we can say that we dominated the second half. We could have settled the game earlier. The mental strength of the team is shown by the fact that in several games we managed to turn the game around or save points in the last minutes. This was the case against FTC, where we didn't win, but we managed to come back once in the game, or the matches against Puskás Akadémia and ZTE, where we scored a last-minute goal. Every day we work hard on the performance and mentality of the team, I am satisfied and happy that we got the result, I am pleased with today's victory. Today's three points can give a lot to the players in terms of confidence, but nobody should get carried away. We know that we are still in the second half of the table, we must continue to prepare humbly for the continuation of the season."
The good play of Bence Gergényi was specifically asked about from our head coach at the press conference:
"Bence has fitted in very well with the team. He is a good player and a positive personality who played a great game today. He had to prove himself in a new position for him today, but he managed it well and didn't make many mistakes. I agree with the comment, Bence gave a very good performance today, but apart from him there were other players who played well against Kisvárda."
János Mátyus :
"We started well and scored a good goal from a counterattack, just as we planned. We had another great chance, unfortunately it was missed. At the end of the first half, and for part of the second half, Vidi got the better of us, and I have to give them credit for that. We tried to add more strength to our attacking play, we had our chances, and we went all out for the equalizer, but in the end Fehérvár scored the third goal, they deserved to win. We have a lot of problems, the health of the players is not perfect, we have a lot of sick players, I have to say that. We played our eighth game away from home, and that also affects the performance. It cannot be an excuse for the results, but it is all part of the truth. We are confident that we can play at home after next week's game against Puskás Akadémia."
