The two manager's assessments

Bartosz Grzelak and Gábor Boér spoke to the media after the match.

Bartosz Grzelak:

“We played well in the first half, we dominated the game. Of course they had their chances, especially on the left side. After that we got a bit comfortable and we conceded straight after the break, so obviously I can't be happy with that. The second half was the most chaotic period in my coaching career. I'm very proud of the team, the way they battled and fought in a man-down situation, as if we were playing against the whole world. That's the situation now. We are trying to instill the mentality that every ball counts. That you always have to win. The players asked us after 3-3 if we should go forward for the fourth goal. I said yes, of course, because the fans of Fehérvár deserve to see a winning team. We try to work along these principles every day.”

Our head coach was also asked about Attila Fiola's sending off and the departure of Roland Juhász:

"Even there next to the pitch, I had the feeling that Attila Fiola didn't touch the opponent and my opinion didn't change after watching it on TV. I had a great relationship with Roland Juhász, both personally and professionally. I was very sorry to see him go and that we could not continue working together."

Gábor Boér:

“It's difficult to make a calm assessment so suddenly after the match, because it was a very high-turnaround game. Twice we came from behind and took the lead, but we have to learn to close games like this. Individual mistakes are part of football, but our team couldn't cope with them this time. A good part of the team showed their character, you can't do things like that at times like this. I don't want to go into a deeper analysis than that, we can't see everything properly from the bench, we'll discuss it in the dressing room after the analysis, but strange things happened today. Vidi changed the system of play and formation and started with three defenders, I think we reacted well to that. They've got some serious quality players in their squad, all of their defenders have been national team players or at least squad players. At the beginning we weren't brave enough offensively, we couldn't pose a big threat, but after the break Yohan Croizet came on as a 10 and that made a positive difference. I would like to take the good things from today's game into the dressing room, we shouldn't hang our heads, we have to appreciate this one point.”
